Jasper Fogerty Lawyers are a criminal law specialist firm based in George Street, Brisbane.
They commissioned a design artist to create their brand logo and custom fonts. They also commissioned a professional photographer to take portrait photos and key landmarks around Brisbane - especially the courts in Roma Street.
This website is a stylish grid layout design using some custom fonts and a large "mega menu". The customer intends to publish a lot of content to the site both for their reference and also to allow clients to look up important information about them and the law. So a large, full width menu was an ideal choice to give a lot of capacity, while still making it easy to use.
The customer brought with them a lot of professional photography so we decided to use that heavily. The customer has the ability to select Features Images on pages and posts which will then be applied as a full-width background image. If they do not select a Featured Image, the code will default to a pre-determined background image. Similarly, the Featured Image is used on the front page as the background for the animation in the Areas of Law navigation boxes.
The animations use a pseudo-element transparent overlay to give the effect of darkening when hovered. This is done by absolutely positioning the pseudo-element and giving it a transparency. There is also CSS animations applied.
