Facebook Marketplace

facebookIt looks like Facebook is getting into the online selling market.

Facebook recently announced their new product called "Facebook Marketplace" which will allow us to buy things like clothes, household goods, furniture and even cars.

It has been compared to Craigslist and is said to start rolling out to Facebook users over 18 years of age in the United States, UK, Australia and New Zealand.

Facebook say there has been a demand for this type of service based on the number of Facebook users who subscribe to Facebook groups categorised as "buy and sell". The huge number of subscribers suggested that Facebook create an offering to "natively" support groups of this nature within the application.

Marketplace is said to be accessible by clicking a shopping bag icon at the bottom of the app near the Messenger and Notifications icons.
